Memory lets your agent remember details about returning visitors — their name, preferences, past questions — so it doesn't ask the same things twice.
Two kinds of memory
- Per-visitor — facts tied to one person's chats only.
- Global — notes that apply to all visitors (rare; usually goes in Personality instead).
Tips
- Tell the agent in Personality when to save memories ("remember the user's name").
- Visitors can usually ask the agent to forget things — respect privacy requests.
- Don't store sensitive data (passwords, payment info) in memory.
