Memory

Long-term facts the agent remembers across conversations with the same visitor.

Memory lets your agent remember details about returning visitors — their name, preferences, past questions — so it doesn't ask the same things twice.

Two kinds of memory

  • Per-visitor — facts tied to one person's chats only.
  • Global — notes that apply to all visitors (rare; usually goes in Personality instead).

Tips

  • Tell the agent in Personality when to save memories ("remember the user's name").
  • Visitors can usually ask the agent to forget things — respect privacy requests.
  • Don't store sensitive data (passwords, payment info) in memory.
