The Publish tab is where you actually put your agent in front of visitors. You can share a direct link, add the right embed for each enabled feature, or wire up a custom domain.
Ways to share
- Public link —
askthe.bot/a/your-slug, ready to share anywhere. - Embed snippets — tiny
<script>tags for the features this agent supports. - Custom domain — host the agent on
chat.yourdomain.com. - Visibility — public, unlisted, or private (owner only).
Tips
- Test embeds on a staging page first — make sure colors, placement, and product image handling look right.
- Unlisted means link-only access — useful for sharing with a specific group.
- Custom domains take a few minutes to verify after you add the DNS records.
After you publish
Pick how visitors actually reach the bot:
- Direct link — share
askthe.bot/a/your-slugin email, DMs, social bios, QR codes, paid ads. - Floating chat bubble on your site — see the embed widget docs and the platform guides.
- Custom domain like
chat.brand.com— add it in this tab, paste two DNS records, done in a few minutes.
